Pete I don't remember a fenced-off part of that park. Definitely not fenced off in our day and what's with the two deckchairs by the fence?

I had my suspicions when I posted it,mainly because of the background trees. But that's how it was labelled.
Wherever it is, I think it reflects the atmosphere of the time

If I'm right, either they were photographic models or the photos are from the same source, either way it might help with the right location.

Pete I don't remember a fenced-off part of that park. That's the kind of fencing they use for tennis courts; only Small Heath park would fit the bill from our patch but I didn't think the swings & roundabouts were that close to the tennis courts. That big swing is a bit of a mystery, too. We had stuff that resembled that in Grange Road Park and maybe Small Heath Park too, but in both cases I think the seating always remained parallel with the ground (unlike the one in the photo) and there were no footrests. The Charles Road Park roundabout was like the one in the photo (with boxed-in wooden sections for the riders to sit on) but I think the Small Heath and Grange Road ones were open platforms that we'd stand on.
