Pete
I have seen this image before in several other places it's always tagged Cromwell Street, Nechells 1905. So far I have spoken to three ex residents of Cromwell Street and none of them have recognised it.

Hi Mac
When you say they haven't recognised it, is that as Milk street or Cromwell street?
The clothes look like 1950's to me, and the tag definitely said "Milk street"

Pete I haven't a clue WHERE it is, but I'd say it was much earlier than the 50's (maybe around WW1). Everyone's clothing is buttoned up to the neck; one of the young girls is wearing dark stockings; and there's a lad standing against the houses who's got a shirt with the large white collar that was fashionable around 100 years ago. Also, one of the sprogs (LH side) has moved during the long exposure, suggesting a very slow film speed of the type that wasn't needed in the 50's.

It's Cromwell Street that they don't recollect it from, so it probably is Milk Street, I'll see if I can find out more.
