Two photos of Coventry Road between Charles Rd and St Oswalds Rd. They both look to have been taken around the same time c1968 and both show the old Tram Depot opposite the park gates. Attachments:

sorry a bit off topic what was the name of newsagents corner of heather and coventry rd opp the church? How far back do you want to go, I have looked from 1974 to 1962 and all I am getting is a radio & television shop on the one corner and a outdoor / offsales on the other. If it was before 1962 let me know, but after 1974 I can't help you.
The tram depot was where you indicate and it dates from the time that the trams only went as far as the gates of Small Heath Park. The building in this photo used to be the waiting room.

Forever63
Going backward from 1974 to 1937 when the corner position of Heather Rd and Coventry Rd was just a private house, here is what is listed in Kelly's for the following years.
1974 Cut Price Store 1967 Television Shop 1962 Television Shop 1950 Wireless Shop 1937 Private House.
All through these years the opposite corner was a off-sales / outdoor
I'm not saying that it was never a newsagents, but it doesn't show as one in any of the directory's that I have. so it is possible that it was a newsagent for a short time between the years I have possibly sometime between 1968 & 1974.
