Which is the more important to you?
1 pint of beer say, £2.65 x 8 pints per gall = £21.12 per gallon.
or
1 litre of fuel, say £1.35 per litre x 4.54 lit per gall = £ £6.12 per gallon.
All figures are approx, but very real!
When you figure fuel is extracted from the earth, transported around the world, refined from crude oil, then delivered to your petrol station!
But beer is mainly water, found all over the UK,
I don't get the economies of all this, or are we being 'ripped' off again within the UK?
Ray.

If you think about it for two long, six quids a gallon for petrol, or less than two pints of mild for a fiver will depress anybody.
Bottled water,in a pub or in a gas station, is more expensive than either petrol or beer.
