We both have a connection with Baker St this is a Will left by one of my Ancestors. And he lived in Baker St.
Wal.
This is the last will of me John Protty of 53 Baker St Small Heath Bham + tinsmith. I appoint John Charles Ledbrook accountant of 52 Avondale Rd + Sparkhill Bham sole executor and trustee of this my will. I bequeth unto my + wife Mary Protty for the benefit during her lifetime only, my business of a + tinsmith now carried on by me at 55 Baker St Small Heath Bham and all plant and + fixtures stock book debts good will and effects connected therewith and on her + death I request that the said business shall revert to my son George who will + conduct it entirely taking one third of the profits annually and the balance of + such profits be equally divided amongst my surviving sons Only on the death of + my said son George I request my executors to arrange for the sale of the + business and the proceeds of such sale to be equally divided among my surviving + sons . It is also my wish that during the lifetime of my said wife Mary Protty + I do not wish for any money to be spent on the extension of the business . I + further bequeth to my said wife my household effects such as are not her own + property for her personal use during her lifetime and on her death to be + disposed of as she directs.
