Hi Pete I went to the museum ( in the rain ) on the Thursday and found out it wasn't opening until the next day, Friday. I haven't had a chance to go again since, you've got to allow a full day with travelling and everything but I'll definitely go before it closes

I visited the exhibition today and I was really impressed. They seem to have built a new gallery to house it and I must have spent about two hours in there. It covers the last 900 years of Birmingham history and I discovered a lot of stuff I didn't know. It covers the City as a whole and while it doesn't highlight any particular areas the BSA is well covered. They've even got a large oil painting of the bombing in 1940 which was painted in 1946 and this is the first time I've seen it, I didn't even know the painting existed.
If you can, go and see it, it's well worth the visit.
