Hi ray,out of curiosity where did you get the photos from?i tell you why I,m sure I was there.I,m pretty sure it's at the old Broadway bowling club ,Bordesley green, and the occasion was Malcolm Beards Testemonial year function in 1969.If so I also have some old black n white photos of blues players such as Ron Wylie,Trevor Hockey,Freddie Pick and being an avid Blues fan I was in my element, the reason I was there was that my Dad was a member/player,I was about11,I even got to meet the great Joe Bradford, got all the autographs, what a memorable day...skiddy

Hi Skiddy,
How fantastic you were there. Trevor Hockey was my favourite Blues player. You are right, it was the Broadway, the pictures I 'borrowed' from another site.
Ray.

Hi ray, thanks for confirming it,I know the player in pic 2,but rather than be smug I,ll let someone else have a go.As a matter of interest the chap in pic2 who is bowling is Billy Harrison...ok now I am being smug and the chap in pic 1 is I believe Mr Spiers....skiddy

Hi Ray, As a matter of interest both I and my Father in Law were members of the B.B.C.(BROADWAY BOWLING CLUB ) in the late 50s.

Hi Joe,
That explains your severe reluctance to buy a round of drinks, all that bending over, short arms deep pockets and all that.
I therefore nearly apologize for all your shortcomings.....
Ray.

Larry may be the guy sitting on the blue bench, next to the girl with the bright red top, in picture #2.
