I was chatting to my brother today and we were trying to remember the name of a radio show back in the 60s or 70s where you could write in and nominate a record that you hate and they would play the record on air and then smash it, promising that it would never again be played on that channel. Neither of us could remember what the programme was called. How's yer memory? Jerry

Hi Jerry,
I think it was 'Smash Hits' on Radio Luxembourg.
"Monkhouse's adult career began as a scriptwriter for radio comedy in partnership with Denis Goodwin, a fellow Old Alleynian with whom he also compéred Smash Hits on Radio Luxembourg."

Hi Jerry,
I can assure you posting pictures of Birmingham is no chore.
A chore is trying to find one of Baker Street, but I will not give up!
Ray.
