We've been talking lately about Small Heath Park and no doubt most of you have read about the new park opening in Digbeth but did any of you watch a program on Thursday called "Caught Red Handed"?. For those who didn't see it, they showed drug dealers calmly setting up shop in an unnamed Street in Bordesley Green by blocking the street off with their car and selling drugs to a queue of people. This must have been arranged via the internet because there were up to 50 people waiting to buy drugs from them. Now all this took place in broad daylight at 8.30 in the morning with mothers taking their kids to school. They also showed covert surveillance films of an unnamed park which showed that it was regularly being used for drug dealing, also in broad daylight. Although it wasn't named the park was clearly Grange Road Park. Now if Birmingham Parks Department and the police can't keep a tiny park like that crime free then what chance is there for a huge park like Small Heath?
As I said, would you let your children play there?

Jerry Hi Jerry, Saying it is disgusting that these things are happening, and knowing the Police are underpaid, understaffed, under the cosh, and all the other reasons given for the state of our Country, then how is it possible for the 'Police' to keep publishing reports to the effect that 'overall', crime is falling !
I would imagine most drugs are purchased with money paid out by the 'Social, or robbed from others.
If you are going to hand out money to dead-beats, make them earn it, or stop paying them!
I would be more than happy to contribute to a 'build more jails fund, on the condition they were jails, bed and basic food would be too good for them, the jails we have now are glorified hotels for the 'why should I work brigade, ably supported by soft governments and those P****s in Brussels.....
Just reading some of the crimes published in the Mail section in Small Heath makes me ashamed to think these are being committed by a 'human Being'.....
That said, the state of Small Heath itself leaves me in complete disgust, and please don't tell me there is no money about, when we were kids, money was something you never had, never missed, and when you were given a few bob, or started working, you appreciated it!
When I rant like this, I am so glad I am my age, and not a youngster, God help them in 50 years time.....

Well said Ray. Crime is not going down it's on the increase and we have no way of beating it. The Druggies are winning this war. And it's us that fund it for them with our Taxes. You say 50 years, i say. What will it be like in 20 years from now ??. Wal.

Ray.
You have to read the spin. Overall reported crime might be falling. Isnt there a different number now for non urgent, minor incidents, such as your car has gone, or you house burgled? I wonder how many things go unreported, cos its just a waste of time bothering.
I'd hate to be a copper in a place with a demographic like Bordesley Green has.

Bring back the rope - and I'll gladly hand over half of my old-age pension if they'll let me work the trap door! Prime Minister Nigel Farage will sort these scumbags out!
