Looks to me like the bloke with the cameras about to get his head kicked in.

THE ROYAL CONNECTION TO BIRMINGHAM
Ref the first post: the 'Norman Painting' mentioned (3rd line down) might be the actor who played Phil Archer.

Exact Fair Only. Pay As You Enter. All Passes Must Be Shown. These words are burnt into our psyche. I think I have mentioned this before - but maybe worth mentioning again. In the early 1980's when much of Small Heath was in a state of neglect and general dereliction, getting on a bus (to escape the squalor) to go to town was a treat! WMPTE introduced a 2 pence go anywhere fare at weekends for under 16's. Bliss! But in almost every bus, on the sign "All Passes Must Be Shown" - the letter P was crossed out. The sign saying 'Spitting prohibited offenders will be prosecuted' always comes to mind. Steve Gibbons even wrote a song around it (look on youtube) On the posher midland reds there was a sign about children travelling at half fare giving up their seats to adults. Different world eh ?
