I well remember risking life and limb skating down the side streets off of Grange Road with a pair of these!Jerry I got mine from McGauley's and the Coventry Road pavement between Muntz Street and Watts Road was my favourite skatepark - all that lovely smooth tarmac! When in suicidal mode it'd either be Kingston Hill or Digby park (bowling green to Somerville Road)

We used the suicidal route down Mansel Road from Digby park too. Usually a well timed grab at the railings outside the cobblers' shop at the bottom saved us from hurtling across Somerville Road. Thank goodness there wasn't so much traffic around then and we lived to tell the tale!!
Edited to add - those railings were good for gymnastic tricks too (with our dresses tucked into our knickers!)

Er, no...........we weren't quite THAT suicidal 'cos we did it INSIDE Digby Park (down the steep path from the Bowling Green entrance and into the park proper (a lookout was needed at this point), hoping like mad that we could 'make' the fast left-hander just before Somerville Road).
