Here are a series of photos which show a nostalgic walk down Grange Road.
Where the older photos are missing, I've filled in with modern photos of those pieces that have not changed too much since the 60's

Jerry,
Sorry I wasn't able to find you any more photos of Grange Rd, but I have found some of the side streets among my collection.
Here are,
The Junction of Eversley St & Green Lane The junction of Dawson St & Muntz St Wright St c1960 Wright St first council housing.

Eversley rd cafe, as it was known to us, was one of our regular haunts in the 60s and before that, in the 50s it was a regular hangout for my two older brothers and their teddy boy mates.
The Wellington was a regular stop for us as well. I colorised ( badly ) a copy of that photo, it's in the birmingham pubs section.
Looks like they didn't do a very good job of preserving those flats, I've just gone up and down Wright St courtesy of Streetview and I could't see them anywhere.

Jerry
Well what do you expect from Birmingham Council. who it seems are deliberately trying to obliterate all signs of Birmingham's history. Why was there a great need to demolish these examples of possibly the first purpose built council housing in Birmingham and replace them with a basketball court? I didn't realise that they had gone as it has been quite a while since I was down that way last. I think the last time I was down that way was to buy a side of beef from Rowfreeze how long have they been gone?
