Hi Jerry
It was blocked by YouTube. Something to do with our country not having copyright.
"This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds"
It was working OK when I posted it, but it's been blocked since that date
Strange, because the first video 0f photographs, "Old pictures of Birmingham Vol1 Revisited," has not been blocked

Very good series indeed - never seen many of the photos before. One thing puzzling me - what is the film being shown in the Gaumont at 3.50 mins ? Song of....something... Hi Bertram Boy The film was "Song of Norway", you can see the full title on the display above the entrance. The shot is a bit misleading because as the Gaumont shot comes up the text on the left says 1950s but the film was made in 1970 so the shot would have been taken in 70/71 as you can see from the cars and the huge office block. I can't see your ref to 3hrs 50 mins but the film only lasted 2hrs 18mins so that was probably the total program time including shorts and adverts. By the way I don't carry all this info around in my head, I got it from The IMDB, the fount of all movie knowledge. I've always liked musicals but from the reviews of that one I'm glad I missed it. "Phil" has posted hundreds of old incredible Birmingham photos on this site. Around page 41/42 are some remarkable photos of the Bull Ring that I hadn't seen before. You can get a good potted history of Birmingham if you can find the time to go through all of the pages.
