Oh my word - you have made me cry! What a cracking set of photo's! The one's that did for me are; seeing a picture of Birches sweet shop and Baker St sign and the Muntz st one with the bus stop and newsagents. So many memories - bless you. Anyone remember Mrs Birch - who used to come out for a nose from her side door in Baker St and wave her duster as if she wasn't really being nosy - she even waved her duster when my sisters got married - when all the street was out anyway! Lol Jan

Lol Jan Hello Jan Mrs Birch was my favourite shopkeeper. In the late 50's, when we went to buy penny bubble gum packs with fooball team photos inside, she opened the packets to look for the Blues team photo for me and in 1957 even found the Man. Utd team photo taken just before Munich. Wish I'd kept them. Probably swapped them for something insignificant, as you do when you are kids. Pete

Pete Yes I remember both of them Mr and Mrs Birch fondly - always kind - he was quite a quiet man - but men often were then. For me it would have been the sixties - but the shop remained fifties in style! Jan
