thanks for the reply now can I put this to you this is the puzzle she sold her paper bags by the steps to the top market now if this photo was taken off the steps to the market what would you see on the other side of the road would you not see pimmes and up from that was a bomb building and the road was wide at the top by the market steps if you can see where I'm coming from

When I was a kid in the early 50s I got dragged around the old rag market regular by our mum and dad and I clearly remember a lady inside the entrance crying out "andy carriers" so maybe there were more than one?

When I was a kid in the early 50s I got dragged around the old rag market regular by our mum and dad and I clearly remember a lady inside the entrance crying out "andy carriers" so maybe there were more than one? Jerry you could well be right but sadly I can only remember one just up the steps was that world war bomb for you to put money in now just at the bottom of the steps looking left up the bullring could be found the bag lady now looking at the photo of that lady it could not be taken off the steps of the top market the road is to narrow and across the road it was bomb out so two things come to mind was this a pre war photo that does not fit in now have a look at this photo iv posted its the top end of the bullring you can see across the road how bomb out it was and how wide the road is so I some how do not think this is the bag lady I had in mind roy
